Alan's War

A little piece of Alan's War for you.

Alan's War

Hey, after so long here we go again.
This has just arrived in the library and it is great to see something truly different and beautiful
Emmanuel Guibert drew and authored this over years while gathering material from this old World war II G.I. who lived in Europe until his death. He sat and recorded this man's stories went away drew his strips and went back for more.
His memories are not the Band of Brothers style, instead they are people, places, the way life touches another life, or does not.
No special powers, no kooky characters, in this piece Guibert shows life in the 40's with a guy who is just doing his best. I like Alan, I can see myself making a lot of the decisions he did and I hope I would have the strength to meet people in a war zone and become friends like he did.

What do you think of motion comics?
